It’s time to publish awaited bulletin 1. There you will find information about terrain, prizes or competition office opening hours. We will also post the technical bulletin.

Thank you for trusting us. The current number of registration reminds us of Wawel Cup Golden Years. Now, our task is to make everyone of you feel as if you participate in the biggest Orienteering Run competition in Poland. The 736. person (8. that receives free entry fee in our contest) is Michał Kuś from KInO Stowarzysze Warszawa.

The last day for registrations!

Today is the last day for registration and actually the organizers are making the bets if the number 800 will be reached. 

Meanwhile, we remind you that Wawel Cup are 4 ranking runs, the scores gained at our event may come in handy for the position before Polish Championship that falls in autumn!

Błędów Desert – terrain

The last stage will be a real mixture of all the other days. You will find the following on 5. stage map:
– well runnable and fast forest from Rabsztyn
– glades and thickets who will accompany you during stage 2
– 5 meters deep pits
– rocks
and the real dessert: desert with diversified subtle contour details.

The last days promises some good running, the terrain is very diverse!

Jaroszowiec – terrain

During our 4th stage the competitors will face the typical Jura terrain. Large number of rocks and rock walls. The road network well developed. The visibility and runnability from very good to difficult. You may expect the highest height differences during stage IV.

GPS tracking

We are happy to inform that during the Wawel Cup this year, the runners and fans will be able to follow the competition online. 24 GPS receiver will make this event even more attractive! During the first four days, the receivers will be given to runners from different categories and during final handicap we will watch the tracks from these categories that the rivalry seems the most interesting!

Olkusz Pits – terrain

The terrain for third stage is unique for worldwide scale. The area of 0,33 square kilometer is marked by 791 pits and depressions. It is worth noticing that almost every pit is at least 7 meters deep. In order for the map to be more legible, our mapper used symbols from 1:7500 scale (we run on 1:4000); road network not well developed, good runnability.

Olkusz Forestry Managment

We are pleased to announce that our next Wawel Cup partner is Olkusz Forestry Managment – organization which takes care of the terrain of the competition. Their representatives will be present at 2 stages in their promotional-educational tent with attractions for kids.
